About Beatrice

Beatrice is a petite potcake princess with the most delicate soul. When we first started working with her, she needed patience, experience - and plenty of tasty treats - just to help her feel brave enough to step out of the shelter.

At first, she would flash her tiny toothy pegs when the leash came toward her, simply trying to say she was scared. But once we worked through that fear together, Beatrice began to choose courage - willingly coming out, breathing in the fresh air, and learning that the world isn't so frightening after all.

And just look at her... she's a cutie patootie through and through. She loves rolling onto her back for belly rubs, soaking up the sunshine, and politely saying hello to her furry friends.

Beatrice makes wonderful progress every time she gets human interaction, though she can regress a little when too much time passes between visits - which is why a consistent, loving home would truly change her life.

With the right family, we can easily imagine Beatrice curled up on someone's sofa, content and safe - a gentle little shadow and a sweet companion for another dog.
