At the Bahamas Humane Society, our mission is to protect, care for, and advocate for animals across the Bahamas. From adoption and medical care to education and rescue, we provide a wide range of services designed to create a safer, more compassionate world for animals and the people who love them.
Animal Rescue & Emergency Vehilce
Our 24/7 emergency vehicle responds to injured, abandoned, or distressed animals throughout Nassau. If you see an animal in need, contact us, we’ll do our best to help.

Adopt
We match loving families with animals in need of forever homes. All of our adoptable pets are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.
Veterinary Care
We provide basic medical care, vaccinations, and spay/neuter services through our on-site clinic and in partnership with local vets and Baark!.
Foster Program
Fostering saves lives. By opening your home to a pet in need—whether short- or long-term, you help free up shelter space and offer healing, safety, and love.
Volunteer Opportunities
Whether it’s walking dogs, assisting with adoptions, or supporting events, we rely on dedicated volunteers to keep our shelter running.
